We
chose "Crusader Pride" as the theme of
our business to reflect our dedication to quality. We want
to do more than just meet your requirements; we want to
exceed them. In essence, if you succeed, we succeed.
When there is a challenge, we will work with you to meet
that challenge.
Ours
is not a "we-they" mentality, but rather a team
effort. This philosophy is addressed with regularly
scheduled staff meetings. Our performance is reviewed and
analyzed and suggestions are made for the future.
Our
management teams strive to view our service from the
customers' point of view.
We do not tolerate complaining, but rather encourage
positive feedback addressing specific concerns.
Relationship:
Our goal is to develop a true partnership in order to be
able to operate more efficiently. Our management team will
strive to achieve and maintain a cohesive operating
relationship, increasing throughput, and earned income for
our customers.
Flexibility:
CSA understands that logistical demands are always
changing. Our management teams work consistently to make
sure all areas are covered. To meet your changing needs,
careful planning and constant communication with your
management team are required.
Our
managers are trained to expect and anticipate changes in
volume. This is accomplished by building a permanent
part-time work force.
We
stress problem solving with our management team as we try
to bring more to this partnership than just a crew of
unloaders. Our goal is to learn your business as
thoroughly as possible in order to equip our team to make
timely suggestions to your supervisory staff as they
address daily problems and long range challenges.
Continuous
Cost Reductions:
CSA encourages and trains our associates to offer
suggestions to help you reduce time and costs. We pay our
employees by the load to maximize efficiency and
productivity. Our employees can then make an above-average
income. We have found that this income incentive builds a
long-term relationship with our associates. Our crews are
more experienced, resulting in added benefits to our
customers: reducing costs, handling time, and improving
your efficiency.
Customer
Service:
As mentioned before, we work hard to maintain a
partnership mentality. If a load has not made its
appointment time and you need that product, we will have
someone stay to complete the load when it comes in. If
necessary, CSA will pay the material handler for the
waiting time, and you will not be billed. If the dock gets
backed up and we cannot complete the loads, we will not
charge for waiting time. This is our challenge and we will
offer to help or be patient if you do not wish our help.
Organizational
Structure:
CSA has a Field Director (FD) for each city. They are
responsible for all the operations in a particular
geographical area. Our FD has the authority to take care
of challenges as necessary.
Each
warehouse has a Lead Team Manager (LTM) responsible for
that facility. The LTM will be CSA's main contact person.
A Team Manager (TM) is provided for each dock and every
ten material handlers. The TM is responsible for a dock
area and the material handlers on that dock. Each dock
will have its own working TM, which could be unloading or
non unloading depending on the size of the dock. This way
you are not constantly looking for a managerial person.
They are right in the work area.
It
is necessary to have all the docks in contact by radio. We
would suggest that each of your supervisors share a
frequency with our management. This would allow
instantaneous communication between the managerial
personnel.
Rental Program:
In consideration for these services: the use of your dock;
CSA will pay a rental fee of 4% on all outside carrier
loads to perform our services. Other options include: 6%
on all outside carrier loads for the use of the dock and
power equipment to perform our services, or, 10% on all
outside carrier loads for the use of the dock, power
equipment, secure office space, and two phone lines with a
long distance block, to perform our services.
